Dear One,
I find myself moving through an unexpected initiation that rocks the very foundation of my life. And the many stories I am hearing through friends, family, and clients are reflecting back to me the significant time of change we are all moving through in so many different ways, personally and collectively. Is a big initiation happening for you as well?
I hear myself as I say to clients that when we move through powerful cycles of healing and transformation, new cycles of initiation are activated. We are better prepared for deeper healing and bigger transformation that we weren’t ready for before. We are stronger now to meet the bigger work.
The greater the initiation, the greater the up-leveling.
I find myself coming back to this reminder for myself continuously in light of the sudden heartbreaking notice I recently received to vacate my treasured desert sanctuary home of the last 11+ years. When I first moved to the desert wilds in Joshua Tree in 2011, it was this homestead cabin I write from now that created and held the space for my own personal healing and transformation that revealed the truth of my being and brought me to the work I do today. My roots are deeply embedded in this land, and it was a home I dreamed of buying…
But the Divine has other plans for me. I’m needed somewhere else. I’m being asked to surrender to the great unknown through this dissolution of the steadfast foundation of my beloved home. My grief has been deep, my tears have saturated the land I love dearly. It is the ultimate practice of surrender and trust in the divine plan.
It is a death that I know in my heart opens up the space for a significant re-birth. Already, beautiful things are birthing through this painful catharsis.
I share this with you because you might be someone who’s been blessed by this temple home and this land, for I have shared it with so many of you through gatherings, healing sessions, private retreats, and countless ceremonies over the years. This sacred land has been a place of sacred connection, healing and transformation for so many of us.
I also share this with you, dear one, knowing that you also might be moving through an important initiation these days. I am in awe of the myriad of ways we are all being asked to surrender to the unknown and trust in the greater divine plan. If you are in a challenging situation, know that you are ready to rise up to meet an expanded version of yourself. You are ready for this level of work. I say this to myself, and I say it to you.

But we are always surrounded by support, and whether it is divine support or physical support, all we need to do is remember we are not alone and ask for the support we need.
